6th Degree Black Belt
Master Ahn
I have practiced Tae Kwon Do since 1994 and currently train with 8th Degree GrandMaster Henkel at Kim's Tae Kwon Do of Renton. I began teaching in 2008 at the Queen Anne Community Center and continue to teach there. I graduated from the University of Washington and have lived in Seattle since 1997. I have trained in boxing and am a 12 time Grand Champion fighter.
4th Degree Black Belt
Mr. Greivell
I have been practicing Tae Kwon Do since 1999, I first started when I was 8 years old. I got my first black belt in 2005. In 2011 while working a night shift I found myself teaching many of the noon classes offered at the Renton studio in Master Henkel’s absence. After returning to a normal work schedule years later, I continued to teach and to this day I teach many of the weekend classes offered at the Renton studio. Seeing students succeed is my biggest enjoyment of teaching. I always strive to teach a fun and unique class, one that gets students out of the same old normal routine. I am also a substitute teacher for the Renton studio’s Cage Fitness classes. Outside of Tae Kwon Do I enjoy hiking, traveling and furthering my college education.
3rd Degree Black Belt
Mr. Yeung
I have been practicing Tae Kwon Do since 2010 under 6th Degree Black Belt Master Ahn. I first started when I was 7 years old. As a now 19-year-old, I particularly enjoy sharing how my Tae Kwon Do experience benefits me at home, school, work, and beyond. One of my favorite teaching memories was when a Tae Kwon Do student called me after class for calculus help. Just as I like teaching sky-high jumping kicks in my classes, outside of Tae Kwon Do I also reach for the stars where I am currently studying Astrophysics at the University of Chicago. In my free time, I like to play the piano and saxophone, try new cooking recipes, and compete with friends in video games.
6th Degree Black Belt
Master Dacuan
I have studied Tae Kwon Do since 1996 under Master Henkel, 7th Degree, in Renton, WA. I also teach at Kim's Tae Kwon Do Burien. I graduated from the University of Washington with my Bachelor's degree in 2012, and I earned my Master's degree through the Boston Teacher Residency in 2013. Outside of Tae Kwon Do, I am a public school teacher. I believe that learning (both in and out of the studio) can empower and enrich anyone's life. When I am not practicing Tae Kwon Do, I like to read, watch movies and try new food.
3rd Degree Black Belt
Mr. Jury
I am a third degree black belt and have been studying Tae Kwon Do with 7th Degree Black Belt Master Josh Henkel at Kim's Tae Kwon Do Renton since 2007. I completed the Instructor Certification program when I was a first degree black belt and started instructing when I was a black stripe. I enjoy teaching and competing in Tae Kwon Do tournaments. Other interests include reading books, playing board games, collecting and playing with Magic the Gathering and Pokemon cards.
3rd Degree Black Belt
Ms. Tsui
I grew up in Hong Kong and moved to United State to study in college. I earned my Accounting degree at University of Washington in 1993. Since then, I have been working as a business consultant and a CPA. In 2010, my son and I started practicing TKD under Master Ahn at Queen Anne Community Center. I am very excited about the teaching opportunity at Rainier Valley Tae Kwon Studio, as I believe teaching is the best way to learn and improve. My husband John and I have four children (2 boys, 1 girl and 1 dog). One interesting fact about me: I have a twin sister and we look very much alike, but we are not sure, if we are identical or fraternal twins.
